City Point August 3-5, 2007
The Fosters, Chessa, Stormi, Traci, and Sandi went to this event in Virginia. This was a very, very hot event. The temperature was around 100 degrees all weekend. In spite of this, they managed to have a good time. Stormi, Traci, and Sandi portrayed the US Sanitary Commission. It was a new experience for them and it was fun offering relief to the thirsty soldiers. Mandy, Chessa, and Juliana portrayed laundresses. They did a great job washing some very dirty clothes for the soldiers. Juliana did a great job staying wet, cool, and cheerful. Sean portrayed a Union officer for the weekend and looked great in his uniform that Mandy had made him. It was a great site and we wouldn't mind going back, when it is cooler. ;)

Bennett Place October 13, 2007
Bennett Place was a lot of fun this year. We were portraying early war which CONS doesn't get to do very often. The children were adorable in their reenacting clothes! Several recruiting musters were held and the women exhorted the spectator children not to forget their duty to their state. Everyone felt very patriotic all day and many wore sashes and cockades to show their devotion. Mandy and Dannielle did some singing. It was a laid back event that everyone enjoyed. Afterwards we all went out for a meal and enjoyed visiting with each other.
